Talking Need help 2012 13t front sprocket

I did search using my cp but it's very confusing. What brand is a direct bolt on replacement for my 2012 klx 250s. I need 13t. Where to buy. Thanks. Just bought my bike last night. It's my first mod. Please bear with me. I don't want to deal with spacers.tnx

sunstar and moose racing both make it for the klx250...$15 to $25 depending on where you buy it or order from..

I wanted to put a 15t on mine over the weekend but couldn't get the nut free. After a while I gave-up in fear of stripping the nut. My neighbor is a tractor mechanic, so I might ask him to get it with his air gun.

One question, should the bike be in gear while trying to get it free? I watched a video on motocross.transworld.net and the mechanic said to put it in gear. But I haven't heard anyone else recommend that. The last thing I want to do is ****up my gear box.

keep it in neutral....one blast with a impact wrench and bolt comes off like butter...the chain saver looks like it won't fit with the 15t, but it worked fine...you'll want the impact wrench for the rear wheel bolts too....too much work with a breaker bar...

not sure how the wheel size and gearing on the klx250s affects the rpm....but, the 15t helped bring the rpm way down for higher speed cruising on my klx250sf....

Guys you are all awesome. Ordered it. Also bought a electric impact driver and the nut was free. Have to step on the brakes though. Bike on neutral. Can't wait for the sprocket to arrive. Thanks again everyone.
