I took off one of my stock mirrors and placed it right where the dual-star mirror mounts to see what kind of view I would have. I couldn't see much behind me as my body and arm were creating huge blind spots. How can that be safe???

Yea I have seen those mirrors that mount right to the bar with no post, I just figured that all you were going to be able to see was your armpit. No thanks. The folding mirrors are good, I can see everything behind me, and if you hit the trail you can just...well.......fold them down.
