Need Closeup Pics of Rear Axle
Can someone give me a hand? I have been working on my bike tonight doing several things, including lubing the rocker arm and swing arm bearings & adding in a set of Kouba KLX3 links. I also planned to swap out my rear sprocket for a 45T & swap my chain for a 108-link, but I have run out of time and just need to get things back together.
Here's my problem - There is a washer on the rear axle that I don't remember where it goes. Unless I have lost one, there is not one on the left side, but there is one on the right side. I don't remember whether it goes inside the swing arm next to the brake assembly or if it goes on the outside between the swing arm and the snail.
If someone could take a closeup pic of both sides of their rear axle from the back so that I could see the order that things go back together, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chris

[old man voice] I'm working as fast as I can![/old man voice] I just took a time out from repairing a flat to get a forum fix and take the pictures for Chris. I'm all done now. Cotter pin is in.

I did a flat today also, friggin funny, rear tire. looks like I aired down too much after I kept crashing in the sand and pinched the tube going over some logs in the mud. Also crashed in the mud. Sully posted video. Sound coming out is a big gun with a 145 mj... Had a good time. Black mud sticks to everything hard to get out. man spent too long washing the bike today.. I hope cw can put his bike together lol..

RE: Need Closeup Pics of Rear Axle
Thanks Thunder and Jelly,
Pics were just what I needed. Actually, after I posted last night, I noticed a arc of grime on the outside of the snail so I figured out that the washer should go on the outside. I got it all back together, but I was not confident enough in my assumption to ride it to work this morning.
Jelly, it's funny that you should point out the missing cotter pin. I noticed as I was working last night that mine is gone. Lord only knows how long I've been riding without it. I will be buying some today.
Thanks,
Chris
