It wasn't "camo" in the modern sense. It was used to disorient rangefinders for artillery; the focus would screw-up so the enemy wasn't sure if their speed/trajectory readings were accurate. The "focus lines" in the reticles would not line-up. Not intended as a "blending into the environment" thing. I always thought it was cool as hell.

Thanks redbrd. Your bike was one of the ones I remembered with the KLX450R headlight. Thanks to the link you provided, I see now how you mounted it - with a Trailtech Vapor instead of the stock gauges. I don't feel so bad now.

A picture from the top of the headlight so you can see how much room you have.

wow, glad that my home did not look like that. I had enough of a tough time as it was just getting back home. Let alone the added psychy look.

Mustang, can I ask what model Supertrapp you used?
I didn't see a KLX250 model listed on their site. I remember riding a buddies KLR250 with one, compared to mine without, and the difference was notable(pun intended), and he said it made carb jetting easier because he could also tune the exhaust. Don't know if that was true but I'd like your impressions on having one.

And that thing looks fantastic! Love the wheels! I'm gonna have to build up another set and get them powder coated.

Thanks! The exhaust is a Supertrapp IDS2 quiet-core, part number 611-6301, for a KLX300. Supertrapp doesn't list this exhaust on their site anymore, but if you call them and ask for one, they'll build it for you. That's what I did.
