Default My version of the auxilary tank!

Hi there!

Here are some pics of my gas tank! and the fitings...

The rack is a Nomandic..

The problem with this setup is I would prefer something that would rapid to remove the gas thank mount without removing the hole rack for shorter trip. Any ideas?

With the Nomandic rack, we can not install a Pack Mount...

Thanks
Eric

Didn't you get the quick release with it? I thought I saw it somewhere.

http://www.kolpinpowersports.com/fue...ernatives.html

There is supposed to be a black 1/4 turn handle system.

I'd hate to see that long bolt sting you in the back in the event of a mishap on the trail. Hope you remove it when the tank's not in use.

As Deej said, there should have been a fastening mechanism that came with the tank. Good luck with it.

Nice try to install this tank on the cheap. I would recommend that you get the real tank mount from either Kolpin or Rotopax. Weld on tabs, or put flat bar below the cross bars on the rack, then bolt on the mount with four bolts. Also remove the tank mount by taking off the four bolts. Put it back on whenever you need it.

I settled for two MSR fuel bottles on mine. This is the only pic I have handy.
