My Rack Has Arrived -- Nomadic Racks

+1 on grinding the rack down. It is a great rack, but this is a design flaw. Anything strapped to the rack will not sit flush or will have holes worn through it in short order.
I ordered one of the racks as soon as they were up for sale again; got it in one day! Went on the bike in about 5 minutes. Fits great, looks stock. I will be grinding down the protruding bolt holes shortly. Once that its done I have a two gallon gas container that fits the rack like it was made for it that will strap neatly into place.

Jason is aware of the problem. He informed me that he had to use the socket heads because his supplier couldn't get the pan heads in the proper length. If I had to do it again I may have opted to countersink the holes and used Phillips flat head bolts for a perfect flush fit.

I was considering the Rack from Justin too. I did not read the thread until today, but I just realized that Nordic is Justin. Hey man!
I too asked Justin about the addition of the 3rd crossbar, since I did the Bagectomy.
I have created a prototype rear rack for the F800GS, it is currently 1/8" Hard Board (SlapDrum stocks this board) with the 1:1 drawing Super 777'ed on. Yes, I used flat heads. When the prototype dies, I'll cut one from Aluminum, Delrin, PET, or UHMW or SKFP .
Anyway, back on subject. Has anybody added the board to the Nordic Rack look kinda like this?
Post up some pics... I wanna see.
BTW: The Sunglass's do stay in place, even on the freeway

I got one of these about a month ago .. haven't actually strapped anything to it, kept the stock tool bag. My favorite feature is that is an awesome grab handle, super strong ... great for buldogging in the rocky hills of north jersey!

No it does not require any drilling.
There is a guy on here that was looking to unload his new rack because he got it for Xmas and didnt like it.
I think it was Jack something,,, do a search and maybe he still has it.
