My New Tank

RE: My New Tank
Yeah, I think the Acerbis is either a love itor hate it type of shape. Some might think the look of the tank adds character to the bike, while others like meprefer the look of the IMS or the soon to be released tank from Clark Mfg.
Also, some have reported that quite a abit of fuel gets trapped in the aft, lower pockets, rendering it unusable unles you slosh it around.

Nice Job Mat2496, it looks really good!!
Did you have to do the radiator fan mod to fit it?
Like Tremor38, I want to see what Clark Mfg. comes up with in early May (HOPEFULLY) first and then decide from all the options available. If I dont like their design, I'm going with one of these!!!
(I was on a 61 mile ride yesterday where, for the longest time, we could not find our way around some massive trail flooding (3ft deep plus).
I almost ran out of fuel... I NEED a bigger tank!!!!

Yeah, I noticed that one day and I was like "Doh! Did I put my petcock on backwards?"...
It always seems like it's a pain in the *** the reach the damn thing.
I think I'll turn it around like Marty's (switch lever on the front, hose tang on the back).
Especially since, it seems I'm always running out of gas with this damn Acerbis tank.
It looks like I've got lots o gas left, but no. (Clarke mfg - where are you?)

RE: My New Tank
I'll have to flip my petcock around once I run out of gas. I just filled it too.
Dirtsurfer it was simple to install, no rad fan mods needed like with the IMS. Just removed the stock tank, shrouds, and seat. Bolt the new tank up.
