I came home for lunch and there was a big white box at my door-My HMF! Can't wait until this weekend to put it on and the jets. I hate the sound of the stock muffler, sounds so girlie!

 

Congrats! My HMF comes off tonight and gets shipped back tommorrow for warranty. Minus that fact, I really liked it...alot better throttle response. Be sure to search the site for jetting specs, there are a number of HMF owners here at all different elevations. If you're taking the time to tear the whole thing apart I would recommend the Kouba extended fuel screw as well, definatley makes life easier.

 

The HMF should fatten up the sound as opposed to the pfft pfft pfft of the stock pipe. Hopefully yours doesn't need too much shimming, some folks have had some fitment issues with the HMF but seems somewhat hit or miss from what I've heard. I had a Muzzy on my bike and loved the sound. I've got an Akrapovic on my KTM now and it's got a whole different tonal character to it.
