Sweet bike man! Drool.

The hanging idle can be an indication of running lean with the FCR, probably the pilot, but can usually be adjusted out with the fuel screw. I went all through that stuff when jetting mine on the KLX. Fortunately, didn't have to do that on the KTM because James Dean offered a jet kit for it - well worth the money to obtain his jetting expertise unless you are already an expert, most people aren't. Check JD-Jetting and see if he has a kit for this bike, I'd be real surprised if he didn't.

Google "fcr hanging idle" and you'll find a lot on the topic.

Thanks Nobrakes. Yeah i took it up to the dealer yesterday. he gave it a blip on the throttle and said it was running lean lol. gottta love people that can do that. so now, it's in for it's first service, full rejet and de-restriction, 52 tooth rear sprocket (for the goat tracks) and getting rid of the ED03/04's in favour of some new rubber. $800 later and a few days and i'll have my bike back

BIke is a beauty!! Can you tell me what it weighs? Is is a 6 speed, and what kind of top end speed can you expect from it?
it's on battery number two since new. i'm prone to think it hasn't got the amps to back it up due to when idling the lights dim.
Weight wise it's about 10-11kg's lighter than the 250. To me, when the bikes on it's side and you have to retrieve it after having a spill, the few kilos off makes a huge difference

Top end wise, it feels a little flat but i presume thats mainly due to the header pipe and muffler. Most people whack a KXF one on but i need the low/mid range for the stuff i do so i'm sticking with the stock pipe. I dont need that much more power as i have a removable skirt when i ride attatched to m bike pants

Beautiful. Lighter is better and 10 or 15 lbs is a hell of a lot lighter.
I wonder if one could be imported into Canada.

Is it a 6 spd? Is the gear box the same?
