So all you have to do when your Husky dies is create a professional website documenting it, and then spread it around on every forum that you can? I think what your buddy did was awesome, and his hard work is going to off, but what about all the other guys that don't , or can't , push husky that hard?

He got the president of husqavarna's personal cell phone and had a long conversation with him. All my buddy has to do is go to the dealer and pick either the 390 or the 511. Im still surprised at the outcome. That went really far up the ladder... Good for him though.

So what if this happends again? Maybe this will force a recall?
Like I said before, my Co-worker has the same problem. He has the 511. He said he is just going to sell it and buy a XR400. But the next owner will have the same problem. He is a good guy and will explain the problem before he sells so who know how long it will take to sell with such a known defect.

To say you would never buy a Husky makes no sense to me. His buddy initially had a dealer problem as much as a brand problem. From what (little) we know it sounds like the dealer was not trying very hard for their customer who had a near new defective bike. However, it's also true that a dealer with a problem won't get the attention of any manufacturer like a pissed off customer will. The reality is, I don't care how many websites you build you ain't never going to get a phone call from the president of Kaw North America, much less his cell number. The fact that BMW owns Husky was one big reason I was comfortable buying one. BMW understands the customer experience business, it appears the prez of Husky N.A. does too. The other reality is, the exotic brands will probably always have more problems than the jap bikes.
