Default Muzzy On The Way! What Jet Kit klx300?

So I took the plunge and ordered the Muzzy and Quiet insert. I need to order a jet kit from Dynojet but need to know what one, Is it the Klx300 kit. I ran a search but there are a ton of different p/n's floating around and I just can't take it any more. And get this, I was talking to a mech. at the local Kawa Dealership and told him I was getting the Muzzy and was going to rejet. He said that he would be suprised if It would make that much difference, I guess I won't be having them rejetting for me, any way thanks for the help I'm F-ing amped for this all to come together.

here's a not for nothing..... if you have no experience with carbs don't do this bike alone.
before you start, read absolutely everything you can about the removal/instillation. And ask a lot of questions.
the one key thing that you HAVE to do is remove the throttle cables and the throttle cable mounting bracket. be very carefull with those screws. they're made of cheap japanese cheese and will strip just by you looking at them wrong. i'm not joking. pearl harbor wasn't enough for them. now they're torturing us with they're crappy hardware...ok now i'm joking. good luck

yes you have to do the jet kit. just don't expect too much. you'll go from about 18hp up to MAYBE 20/22hp. and thats way up top on the tach. have you geared it down yet?

yes I've geared down to 14/48, I have read all of this and I'm not going at it alone. Again all I need to know is what jet kit to order.

The dynojet kit for the klx300will work just fine, or ya can also order the Keihin NTC1 needle and jets direct from Kawi or others. Don't forget the dynojet kit does not include the 40 pilot jet, I would recommend this or larger pilot to run with the muzzy. I'm running a 42 pilot but I got a 300cc jug. Best of luck and look at the frequently asked questions sections.... or thumper talk.

I dont know about that, personally i dont have any experience with carbs, but ido with working on my own stuff. If you print out HMF directions thats all you need. Just take your time, and dont leave the diaphram out too long it will swell and be hard to get back in. Also i didnt remove the throttle cable bracket until after i got the carb off the bike.... imo its not as bad as ya kinda make it out. this is my first carberated vehicle and it was a piece of cake. jmo
