I got the Muzzy Slip on (with Quite Core) and the DynoJet kit. Can't wait to install and transform the beast. Not sure what the header does for power...is it just a bigger pipe? I'm a tight-wad and didn't get it.

75 Vette - When you get the mods on upload some picks and a vid with sound?
Would love to hear it.

p.s. we love our 2004 Lemans Comm. Convertible and 2007 Velocity Yellow Z06

Those cars look good man, I will try and get them on early next week and put up the pics. I have a buddy that is going to do the jetting for me because I have "stupid hands" and can not work with small bolts and screws, I always misplace that stuff. But yes the header allows more air so should see more horse.

personal experience.. complete exhaust upgrade that has larger bore pipe equals dramatic low end loss. slip on with stock header if you dont plan on cc upgrade is the best way to go i think. my bike with open airbox and big gun has little low end power but when she revs up she rips.. it seemed to create a 2 smoke like power band.

I would look in to getting the vortex throttle if you are having problems like that. It should make it snap like you want it. Also are you running stock gear?

im runnin a 46t rear.. i need streetability so vortex isnt an option. i am planning on a pumper this winter and 331cc jug next yr so its no biggie.

edit. i cant say 100% but a vortex isnt going to change engine characteristics. the machine will still suffer power loss due to no backpressure regardless of throttle.

no but it should rev to higher rpm quicker and that is where you said it was lagging on low end.

lol, the engine will rev to equal rpms regardless of throttle. with the stock carb, you're wasting money on a less effort-per-turn throttle. this has been hashed to death; the vortex is not a power upgrade or performance mod. It's just a throttle that takes less effort to turn to full throttle. for street use, it's terrible. and I can twist my oem throttle just as quickly as you can a vortex even though I may have to twist a longggger 1/4" more, if that.

also- oem header removal does NOT equal dramatic low end loss, a 13-tooth front sprocket will get it right back. it will shift the power somewhat, but not dramatically.
if you keep the puny oem header, no matter if it's the 300's or 250 as they're both the same diameter with the 300's being a smidge longer, you're missing out on even more performance.
