Default mounting alluminium handlebars

Hello!
I wonder how You mount left and right switch housing without those little holes in the alluminium handlebars. The stock handlebars has them. Do You cut the plastic **** inside the switch?

bast regards

I cut the plastic ***** and wrapped electrical tape around the bar. I don't have a problem with it slipping or moving around.

1 or 2 layers of tape are all that's needed.

Yea, and even if you keep the stock bars like I have all this time, I had to cut off the nubs so I could install the hand guards and move everything around. I've had no problems with anything moving. But then again I've never dropped my bike........well except for this one time.

Default drilled mine

Because it was only aluminum, I just took a drill bit to it, it went through like butter. Not sure if it will affect the integrity of the bars however. Oh well, it's only $65.
