Default motorcycle dBA limit in AZ/muffler choice

Ive been looking at the different muffler posts on the forums, which are VERY useful. The one thing i cant find is the noise limits for my state, Arizona so i can check some noise level numbers vs whats allowed here for street riding. Any AZ residents out there that know what the legal maximum is? ive found different city ordinances for motorcycle noise, but nothing real official for phoenix in general-or even a corresponding pipe for that noise limit?i hear some real badass choppers out here so it cant be that quiet, but i still wanna make sure im gettin something legal(or close to it). 2010 klx250s. stock so far.

fmf megabomb and core 4 is a decent combo. However, at 70 mph it really takes a toll on ears and def at higher speeds... low end great...

Ha. I have the same bikes in my garage.

Street Glide and KLX250SF.

Funny thing, my SG has Screamin' Eagle pipes and it's probably not as loud as my KLX with the Two Brothers exhaust.

I just started my KLX for the first time last night with the FMF Q4. I'm glad I didn't go with a louder pipe. The Q4 is a performing pipe that won't be obnoxiously loud.

I can just about guarantee that sound level laws you see coming out in different communities around the U.S. are for the loud Harleys and metric cruisers. That doesn't mean you'll get away with running a straight pipe on your DS or sport bike, but the bulk of the offenders and therefore the focus is going to big, loud cruisers.

They are both unique in their own way.

right on, thanks for the piece of mind-sounds like I wont get too much legal attention for the pipe. Leaning towards FMF based on the input and what ive read-cant believe its almost $300 for the bloody slip on alone! might have to reevaluate the financial cost/benefit now lol
