Default Motorcycle carrier

I am thinking about getting motorcycle carrier off e-bay. I am looking at model XMC-400. $129/w free shipping.
Is this thing junk.
I don't want my new klx250s falling off my van at 70mph.

Put up a link or picture so we can see it. It sounds like the same one I bought a few years ago. Mine is the AMC 400 I think? Sold by discount ramps on eBay. I love mine. Do a search, you'll see some pics and read some reviews. Search "hitch carriers"

I do. Don't know the model. It may be on there somewhere, but it sure doesn't stand out so I see it. Bought if from a local guy from CraigsList for $100. Looks just like the others on the link. Steel tube frame and aluminum ramp. My ramp goes into the back of the truck - I won't leave it on the rack for travel. No complaints.

These cheap aluminum ramps are just that CHEAP. I bought one similar to this and was very uneasy on how it rocked back and fourth. I ended up having to make some braces in order to make it more secure. If you are going to get a carrier pay the money and get a good one. My truck currently has a camper on it and I'm thinking I may remove it so I can carry the bike in the back of the truck.

They all will rock if they don't come with a stabilizer. My $100 AMC 400 came with the stabilizer. My rack only rocks if the truck rocks. The stabilizer makes them one and the same. Texaskawi get a stabilizer, you will go from hate, to love, for that rack.

Mine is a different model than the one you have. It sort of has a stabilizer on it but overall it is not very well made. When I started looking for one of these carries I was looking at discountracks and decided to go with a "cheaper" one off ebay. The mods I made to the one I have work well but it still bothers me the amount of movement I get out of the bike when it is on the carrier.

Looks like Dan and I have the same one... bought it from "discounttommy" off ebay a few years ago. I've got hundreds of miles on it and it works great. Cost about the same as the one you're looking at.
