Default Motor Tilt Question?

I did the 351 kit and the MT34 Carb.

The wire harness that runs down the right side needs to run down the left instead. I got the harness pass the carb and I removed to motor mount at the top. My goal was to squish the harness through the space at the top between the top of the motor and the frame mount. I need just a little more room.

My plan,

Remove the two bolts at the front of the motor and then tilt the motor forward to gain the space needed to get the harness past the motor mount.

I have the bolts removed. I removed the Head and muffler. I dont see anything that would not let the motor tilt...

Can anybpdy think of anything? I think there is only one bolt at the back of the motor that runs through the Swing Arm and Motor. It should tilt... Right?

Exhaust? If it's not removed that is.

The lower frame?

Here are all the bolts... Hmmm It may not tilt forward....
Well it should a little...

HHHHmmmmm maybe I can disconnect the harness from the front and then re-route the harness... hmmm I'll see how complcated that looks.

That was smaller than I excepted

REd is the stock harness route
Blue is the new route
The only bolt left is the rear mount bolt.

I'm open to ideas....

Hmmm Maybe cutting the harness and resplicing all the wires is easier... I dont want to do that....

hmmmm maybe I open the harness and spread the wire out and slip them between the narrow space one and at atime and then tape the harness back together... to heck with tilting the motor....

That may be the winner...

I put the engine mount bolts back in... It occured to me to open the harness, fan the wires out and feed the wires thru kinda individually, and then tape the harness back up.

...Sigh...

So it is back together with a 351cc and BBlue Pumper Carb. I am off on the maiden voyage. I'll follow the under 5k cycling good pull in all the gears with accelleration and decelleration loads.

Heeyaa.
