Motor oil?
#2
I have heard good things about diesel oil for wet clutch bikes. I am going to try mobil delvac 1300. I picked up a couple gallon jugs, they have a $4 rebate per gallon through the end of may. A gallon cost as much as a quart of the motorcycle specific oils.

I have been using Rotella t 15w40 for the last year and it seems to be fine. I researched it and found quite a few people using it for a long time. It was recently JASO certified. I believe the Rotella does not have the friction modifiers that many auto motor oils have. Those are one of the reasons you don't want to use automotive oil in your bike.

Amsoil Full synthetic, been using it for over 12,000 miles now. I use Amsoil in my deisel truck too. Its rated for 10,000 miles between changes. In the truck....not the bike, I change oil in the bike every 2500-3000 miles.

BTW, HDEO oils are Heavy Duty Engine Oils, not "Diesel" oils, as commonly thought. They are just commonly used in many Diesel engines, hence the mistake.

As long as it's the EXTRA VIRGIN it's all good. Just don't use the non-virgin stuff.

Would the opposite of extra virgin be: extra pregnant? I don't want virgin or extra virgin, I prefer something with experience.
