Default Motion Pro clutch cable (03-0389) too long? How to reroute?

I got this as a replacement and I am having a tough time adjusting it to pull the actuator arm enough to disengage. Is there a way to reroute the cable to take up some slack? Adjusters at the lever and mid cable are maxed. Help? And thanks in advance.

Default Clutch Cable Routing and Adjustment

Is this cable just too long?
Does this routing look right?
Are there any other adjustment points that I am missing?

Hi:
The length of the overall cable doesnt matter. The outer casing seems to be too long not allowing the inner cable to move as it should. In the video, I notice something in the cable just behind past the bracket at the engine. It seems to look like the outer casing crunched up, is that there or am I just seeing it that way.

Thanks for the reply. And, yeah that part looks scrunched but it isn’t the normal outer casing. I’ll take the cable out again for closer inspection.

The routing of the cable has no affect on the movement or the throw of the cable If it were 100 feet long and wraped up in coils it would still perform properly when adjusted. On the center cable adjustment, if you move it all the way in oposite way, does it make a difference

The mentioned crumpled cable housing would make the housing too short and not allow the adjustment points to correctly set the length of the housing. You'll need to exchange your defective unit for a new one.
