Default more handlebar help

I'm a victim of handlebar thread overdose...please help.

I like my stock bars on my '09 KLX S. However, they are too short for me (5'9" tall) when standing. I want to raise them 1 - 2 inches and was going to simply buy the RMATV risers but then decided to upgrade from the stock handlebars. So, any recommendations on bars that are similar to stock, but 1-2 inches taller? The CR High bends seem to be about the same as stock. Will new bars alone give me the height improvement or do I buy CR bends and the RMATV riser kit also? I know I may need to replace throttle and clutch cables.

I'd air on the side of caution and buy both. I'm shorter 5'8" and the stock bars feel perfect for me. But you might also get away with just the riser kit if your just little for a "little" more.

Are your elbows locking out, or it just feels to low when in a turn?

I'm needing to reach for the bars when standing, thus the need to raise the bars to a more comfortable level

yes, I'm prepared to replace the cables if need be. What bend are you using?

So, anybody got any suggestions on which bend to buy for higher bars without using risers?

i'm using the protaper seven eighth (se) carmichael..77mm height... Seven Eighths | Pro Taper ...it's not high, but anything higher than this bar, you'll need longer lines and cables...

I'm 6'4, went with the Renthal "Jimmy Button" 7/8" Handlebars, and have no problems now reaching the handlebars when standing up.
