Default Moose Tail Bag

Just installed a moose racing tail bag, perfect fit. Like it was made for our bike. I took thin strips of aluminum and bolted the bag to them, holds very well.

Hi dmar,
I agree this bag is the perfect fit. I waited for that one for about a month and ahalf. I like yor install. My approach was a little different. The post is on page 6. A very simple install. It doesn't shift either direction and has survived so far.

Looks like a pretty nice bag. What's on the inside ... it looks like a zippered pocket, but not very big.

Also, the flap over the main zipper looks like it provides lots of coverage. Does it get in the way of opening & closing though? (Thestock Kawasaki "toolkit" bag is a bit of a pain in that regard.)

Nobrakes was so impressed with the Wolfman Enduro tank bag that he went and got their tool bag as well. Any ideas on how it compares to the Moose Tail Bag?

The bag is big enough for my pump
http://www2.northerntool.com/product..._200328573.htm

and some extra tools

I'm planning on keeping the original tool bag holder (but eventually upgrading the tools inside it).

The inside of the moose bag is just a big open space, with a netted zippered pocked on the inside top (probably good for id insurance registration type stuff) It has a plastic coating that appears water proof (vs the OEM tool bag which leaks like a sive)and as you saw, the flap is extra long to cover the zipper.

On the inside, there is also plastic peice that goes around the unit and enables it to keep its shape.

I had one for years on my other dirtbike and think they are made very well.

Thats my two cents....

Iam a big fan of the tail bag, it's out of the way. Just not a tank bag kind of guy. I like things clean up front. The moose tail bag is a good day tripper, you can put a drink, gloves , cleaner, snack, etc. I will also keep a bungee or cargo net in there for larger loads.
