moose handguards
I bough moose hand guards, they seem to be too long. i am going to have to cut the end off and redrill a hole for the part that mounts to the inside of the handlebars... but how are you guys mounting the right hand guard with out interference with the clutch cable? where i have to mount the one piece goes right where the clutch cable is... any ideas?

RE: moose handguards
I put my moose racing hand guards on today, they are a little too high... but they are on and i like them alot. I also put the 13t sprocket on big difference... Here is some pics after a nice ride today... a guy on a custom harley was in front of me and when we stopped at a light he looked back so i pulled next to him, he said nice bike i was really surprised a harley guy said nice bike! and said "looks like fun" ... o yea, i have the kenda 270, it only filled completely up with mud once... other than that great traction even through like 8" muck... a couple of the holes i went through were a little deeper than they looked..... hehe...
heres a good pic of my truck and bike...

RE: moose handguards
I was thinking of doing the Moose Handguard Mod too.
EMS how much did you end up cutting off?
How hard was it "unplug" the stock handlebar?
I think I would like mine lower also. I gotta figure how to get 'em like that. I guess time to pull out the old dremal..

RE: moose handguards
I actually didnt cut anything off, i just redrilled the hole for the inside bar mount. It wasnt that hard to unplug the bars..there is a antivibe weight in the ends, and there is 3 spot welds holding it in, i just used an air grinder with a rotary file and got the spot welds off.. was pretty easy....
