just buy the protapers, i perfer the kx highs (highest, strightest they make). really helped the bending over feeling, i might add some risers just because i stand a lot.

I went with the Windham contours, which where just a few mm below the KX highs. The new connector to fit the fatbar will add a few more mm as well. I can't wait to put them on. From handguards to handlebars hah!

You will be glad you did, don't know about the 09 but my 07 stock bars not only bent easily the damn things weighed a ton.

You where right oldphart, the stocks seemed about twice as heavy! This is my first mod to my bike, I'm excited to get it done. I find I can do lock turns and figure 8's alot better now and my back and arms fall at a more natural place. So glad I chose to go with a new bar.
