Mods that I haven't seen anybody else mention
Hy guys. Just got my 2018 EFI last week. USA model. I rode it home 3 miles and immediately started looking for mods to make either just for looks or performance. First thing I did was remove the front reflectors. I re torqued the lower fork clamp bolts back to factory spec of 19 ft lb. second was to zip tie the front brake line out of the way. It drove me nuts that it was covering the key hole.

Next was to remove the bulb from the air box vent and shorten that vent hose and the other 2 so they don't hang down so far. Also removed the mirrors and put bolts in the holes instead of leaving them empty. The bolts are M10 x 1.25 x 20mm.

Next mod. Free for me because I got lucky. I am going to do a fender eliminator soon enough but at least wanted to get rid of the rear reflectors for now. Took off the tag bracket to see what would be the best way to modify it. Then I remembered I still had my factory tag bracket from my 2015 ZX14r. Believe it or not the bolt hole spacing and thread were exactly the same. Bolted right up.

I automatically take off reflectors on all my bikes - dare to be dangerous!
I don't takeoff the mirrors since I am riding on the road and it is a state law, but I have a mirror on my bicycle too - I want to know what's back there. I did the folding dual sport mirrors from Emgo. If it was off road only, I'd take them off.
I didn'tdo the brake line because it needs to move up and down in that curve as suspension compresses. It will move up and down a significant amount and tying it to the handlebar clamp will crimp that movement. Whether it drives you crazy or not, it really should be free to move. Part of the disadvantage to inverted forks. That loop.
One more, I did zip tied my speedo line to my fork protector after drilling a couple holes. That thing hung out in the breeze down there.

This a must do if you trail ride through brush. I did just like KLX and routed the cable along the edge of the guard-nice and neat.
