Richard, you're thinking the pilot system can be used to tweak AFR at/near redline ?
Or did you mean MAJ (vs PAJ)..?

pwjm, remember the comment in the tuning manual for the pumper indicates that you might never, or at least have a hard time, getting the needle/needle jet tuning achieved without getting a solid pilot fuel jet/pilot air jet solidly tuned first. This is what I ran into on mine. Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but that little air jet had a substantial impact on my carb tuning. I'm thinking your tuning efforts at changing needle jets and the needle may involve the need to tweak this air pilot jet. Just looking at yours and my bike setups, it's hard for me to imagine that you need richer jetting at the needle jet and needle than mine. But like I've often said...all bikes and even riding/throttling habits can affect jetting performance.

I'm running 13/48 right now and it's not wheelie prone. Other than on the WOT 1-2 shift. Though I actually haven't tried to pull a wheelie with it otherwise..
