Met Another Florida KLX250 Rider
I was teaching an Experienced Rider Course this weekend in Orlando at Mid Florida Technical Institute.
There were 6 riders enrolled. I got there early to make sure everything was done prior to the riders arriving. When they pulled in, I had to inspect each of the bikes for compliance with safe operating rules. One of the bikes was a KLX250S. A young fellow by the name of Jamie was riding it. I found out that Jamie works for the company and actually drives one of those vehicles we all love to see pulling up to our house - The Big Brown Truck! Hooray Jamie!
Of course, when it came to all the slow, tight stuff, the rest of the bikes had to struggle to keep up with Jamie and his U-turning abilities. It was quite interesting to see and hear the guy on the Gold Wing trying to make the U-Turns as tight as Jamie. "Sssscccrrraaapppeee" went the Gold Wing, "thump, thump, thump, thump" went the KLX250S.
So, there's a new kid in town. I told him about here, hopefully he'll sign in soon.
Sullydirt was scheduled to attend this ERC, but had to cancel. That would have been a first - multiple KLX250S bikes in one ERC class. I don't think that's ever been done before.
I talked to my boss and he told me if I ever get a group that wants to take an ERC, just let him know and he will give us a great price on it - depending on how many, either $80 or $75 for the class. That's a one day class from about 8 AM to 5 PM - an hour off for lunch.
Maybe we can have a whole class of KLX250Ss there!

Sorry, I couldn't make it Marty. I know another KLX'er we can round up. The girl from MSF said she would call me when they had another class open, hopefully in NOV? Let me know as soon as you can so I can make plans to be there.

RC,
The MSF Dirt Bike School - as with any training - is always beneficial.
However, if you take your bike out and ride trails with someone that understands riding watching you, the benefits are very similar, but a whole lot cheaper and more fun.
So, when do you want to go riding?

RE: Met Another Florida KLX250 Rider
I just got word that I will NOT be working either the 11th & 12th or 18th & 19th of November.
That means it's gonna be time to ride.
Anyone interested in having a "get together" and doing some off road riding?
Let me know and we'll set something up.
Might even have some time for some training.
