not sure witch days we will be doing the trail but all are welcome , all gear will need to be packed in on your bike or by 4x4 . I have more then enough room at my place for parking .

So soon we forget the hardships of last years ride. I,m in, next time lets take a radio for Bill he can relay the bad news to us without us following him blindly down a one way trail. Have you gotten a conceled carry permit for the dope growers yet?

 

I have some radios I can bring they go for 12 miles. nope, no permit dont need one are you bringing your 4x4 ?

DATE: SATURDAY JUNE 7, 2008

START POINT: OBRIEN GAS STATION

WHERE: OBRIEN, OR- ON HWY 199 WEST OF CAVE JUNCTION

TIME: 7:00AM

LENGTH OF RIDE: ROUND TRIP TO MEETING POINT IS 65 MILES.

DIFFICULTY RATING: EXPERIENCED MOTORCYCLE RIDERS ONLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
VERY ROUGH TERRAIN, LOTS OF ROCKS. THERE WILL BE A BAIL OUT POINT 5-6 MILES INTO
THE RIDE, AFTER THAT POINT THERE IS NO EASY ACCESS TO GOOD FOREST SERVICE ROADS.
AFTER THE MCGREW TRAIL PORTION OF THE RIDE THERE WILL BE A REST POINT (WE WILL
REST AT POINTS ALONG THE TRAIL AS WELL) AT THE SMITH RIVER CAMPGROUNDS
WHERE SODA, WATER WILL BE PROVIDED PLUS TOOLS AND EMERGENCY FUEL IF NEEDED.PLEASE
BRING WATER OR SOMETHING TO DRINK FOR ALONG THE TRAIL, YOU MAY NEED IT.

GAS POINTS: OBRIEN GAS STATION AND STORE, CAVE JUNCTION CHEVRON.

MY PERSONAL INTENERARY: (this may change so if you have any questions email me.)

Thurs. 6/5/08 - to haul into Smith River campground and set up camp.
Fri. 6/6/08- to pre-run mcgrew trail in order to clear any obstructions. this will be
done by 4x4 carrying chainsaw and other trail clearing gear. I expect there may be
work involved in this pre-run.
Sat. 6/7/08- ride Mcgrew trail. possibly pack up camp and go home same day??

I plan to be off work Thurs. thru Mon.
