Luckily I installed the kouba screw last time I had the carb off... do you notice any loss in performance by plugging it up?

it's quiet, but the engine doesn't sound smooth...have lose of power at higher rpm on my bike...i think i have to go smaller on the jet size to get it to run properly with the quiet core...running dj132 main jet...only used it because of a class i was taking...luckily the bike made it through the day...but, it sounded like it was going to stall out or something...took the quiet core off and engine was back strong and smooth...if you want it, i'll gladly sell it to you cheap...don't think i'll be putting it back on..

Nice resurrection!

I notice very little difference in performance with the quiet core, but I don't run on at high rpms so I probably wouldn't notice it like you do. And yes, I turned the spark arrestor around when I put the QC in backwards. I'm going to an event this weekend and if I remember, I'll have noise checked with, without, and backwards.

If you do make a pipe, turn down the end so it points more to the ground. This will reduce the noise.
Search for Vortip. It points down and it worked well.

With shipping it would be around 25. If you really wanna get rid of yours I'd pay $20 shipped. If you want to hang on to yours though I understand and I can just go with ebay

Disregard the above offer... in order to find out shipping price I pressed a "commit to purchase" button thinking it would just take me to the next step and I could remove the item from my cart before I entered any credit card information. Turns out that button purchased the item and now I am committed to the purchase. First time ebay user. There is a way to cancel the order by contacting the seller and jumping through a few hoops but I'd rather just pay the extra $5 and chalk this one up to a lesson learned
