Default M-7 Exhaust question klx 250 '09

Hey guys, just made my account.

Been riding for a little over a year and slowly learning more and more about my bike as the days pass.

Anyways, I am thinking of doing my first upgrade. I'm looking into exhausts (one that I will hopefully install by my own). I've read on here that some exhausts have a tendency to melt the turn signals on the klx. So... what about the two bros m-7 complete system? Has anyone had the melting issue with this set up?? Feedback / Comments?

Thanks in advance for the helpful comments!

klx 250s 2009 - and I don't know too much technical stuff (so bear with me)

Two Brothers look nice but the KLX pipes are LOUD. which is to bad really, as i have a TBR TI pipe on my Ninja and love it as it is relatively quiet.

I don't mind the noise, in fact the louder the better! haha. And, thanks for the post!

Any info about the signals being melted or tips on how to avoid this from happening (other than buying aftermarket signals)?

Again, I'm not sure if the signals DO melt...Looking for some info/experience with that detail.

I have the TBR M7. It's LOUD. I have the P1X silencer tip which is meant to reduce noise by 8dB, and the exhaust still measured 105dB.

I have no issue with the signal melting but it definitely gets a carbon build up on it. The collector pipe also runs quite close to the air box.

If you are ok with loud pipes, it's a good quality unit...

Read post #8 of the thread below. I made my own stainless tip to stop the lens from melting and to reduce noise. Works well.

@ klx4me - Thanks dude. I wouldn't be able to make a tip like you did. Any other advice?

That other thread didn't seem to have any good answers towards blinkers.

I'm also reading now about Re Jetting (and how it should be done after a complete system is put on)... got any good links for how to do this in accordance with the m-7 by two bros? 09 klx250

Maybe I'm not ready for this project just quite yet >.< because I'm a noob.

Easy install, yes. Never used anti seize but couldn't hurt. I usually use a thin layer of high temp silicone at motorcycle exhaust joints. Stops corrosion & leaks!
