Lubing the throttle tube?

Not sure if the OP got this fixed, as this post was well over a year ago but I happen to stumble across this thread.
I took my throttle tube and casing apart the other day and mine was binding up when I re-assembled. Turned out to be the guide piece was pinching one of the two cables between the guide and the casing. I then took it all apart and lubricated with some grease and now she is smooth as ever. Here's my sob story:

the throttle tube should always be able to spin pretty freely. you really should use a lube there cus it could collect dirt and possable stick wide open.check the cables, if they are sticky look for kinks of any kind, then if none, use a dry lube to lube the cables.
