Perhaps I was a little bit premature. I just looked at a map. Coming up and picking you up adds 600 miles to my weekend. That's a whole bunch more than I thought!

I think I will renege on my offer!

 

Yeah, I figured it would - no problem Marty. I love it over here where I live in the area, but it sure seems all the really good riding in NC is over in the western part of the state. Unforunately you can drive all day long and not make it from one end of NC to the other, so even though I'm fairly central NC, it's still quite a haul over to the mountains.

Like I said, I'm still working on options and I'll see what I can do - I'd love to join you all, sounds like a lot of fun.

Stupid little fall - caught a rut and went down on my right side, just right apparently because I cracked a few ribs and broke my collar bone. Happened on Labor Day:

Thanks, feelin' better every day, even went out for a little spin around the neighborhood yesterday ... felt great, but I can't risk too much since I think the bones are barely back together now, at least according to the doc. Certainly can't go on a real ride - not strong enough for that yet. So in my disabled state, I guess a couple of girls could pin me pretty handily, not that I would mind
