Low Fuel Light on 2009 KLX 250s?
Is there a low fuel light on the KLX 250s? I believe that I ready about it in the owners manual, but I could be wrong. I have yet to have anthing to indicated that I am low on fuel and have had to use the reserve tank to make it home....

S - no, SF - yes. If it has the low fuel light, it doesn't have a reserve tank. Manual seems to cover S and SF, but doesn't make it very clear which is which.
Mine seems to want me to switch to reserve at around 1.5 gals used; so my reserve holds about .5 gallons

Thanks Rgoers, when my bike started gasping for fuel, I put on the reserve and went to the gas station and filled the bike up exactly 1.5 gallons. Seems that the 2 gallon tank is 1.5 gallons of regular riding before you need to use the .5 gallon reserve.
Note:
I have to switch the reserve on after about 70 miles or so.

Sure??? Maybe you just aren't aware of how it works???
Apparently, on the EU models, the fuel-injection lamp also doubles as a low-fuel warning lamp. See here: Kawasaki KLX250 Features
Here's a similar reference to it in a U.S. review: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/164/77...omparison.aspx
I thought all of the newer SF models (including U.S.) had FI, and therefore, would have the "low fuel" warning.
