Nice Tony, are you thinking of a tail plate mod yet? Why don't bike companies just get some input from real riders before adding that plate holder. It would save everyone a lot of time and money.[8D] Oh and from the picture it looks like the Yami seat is 2 inches higher. When are we going riding man? Are you going to add a rack and a case? What about mud flaps on the front, come on you know you want to.
I agree, that's almost as bad as the new '09 KLX's rear fender but at least Kawi got it right and put the turn signals below the taillight. I still don't like the tank/shroud design on the new WR"R", the muffler is a little radical for me, and the gauges are terrible. Looks like you were lucky to get a friggin odometer by how tiny that thing is. I think I'd trade the fi for my awesome gauge design on the '09 (it is boobies as someone just stated). I would love to ride that bike though just to compare it to the carb on the KLX. Can't imagine it would have nearly as much power as your 331 though. You do know you can lower that bike w/o any mods, right? They made it so you can adjust the rear shock to lower it by an inch or so. You probably already know though. Nice bike, but I'm personally glad I went with the new KLX. Now don't take this wrong, I loveyour new bikeand would be happy with one in my garage. I'm just saying it's not for me. Yamaha quality is top notch imo.

I rode the WR-X last month and it was an impressive street-legal 250, a tach would be a nice touch but it would not effect my decision to buy the WR-R or not, DRz's don't have tach's and neither do most other dirt oriented machines.

My dealer just got the R model in and is putting one together, if all goes well I'll be an owner in the next couple of days.

Tony,

Is the rear sprocket really tiny, or is that an optical illusion? I went to the Yamaha website, but didn't find the sprocket specs.

Nice bike! Man, I wish I had fuel injection!
I believe 13/43 with rubber on both sprockets. very quiet.
