Default Loose and missing bolts(Chain Guide)

Got back from a ride today and was knocking off some mud when I noticed one of the Lower Chain Guide bolts sticking out.The nut was gone and the Bolt & Nut next to it was gone. Luckily the Dealer stayed open 10 extra minutes and got me replacements. I went over all the nuts & bolts again quickly after replacing them in the dealer parking lot but I'll check them all again carefully tomorrow. It's a good Idea to check all the nuts & bolts every few rides I guess.

hahaha, good point. I lost 3 bolts alone when I first bought the ride and rode it home! Glad that it was not your axles missing parts!

Yeah that would be scary. I had her up to 88 on the Speedo on the way home. I Wouldn't want anything coming apart at that speed. I blame Kawasaki and the dealer both for these loose parts. I still love my KLX but I don't totally trust the build quality. I have had to tighten many bolts as well as properly reinstall the taillight lenz and seat.

yeah, the '88 750ninja had the loose front axlefrom the buy, the 06 10r lost the 3 panel screws from the initial ride home. I still go thru my prelims of wiping things down with my rag and a can of wd40 in hand. Just the quick visual.

I had posted the same thing a while back. I lost the chain guide bolt, also lost one of the battery holder bolts. It is good to go over the nuts/bolts often, and more so if you do a lot of offroad.
