This is NOT a "for sale" thread.

I'm considering selling my bike as I rarely ride it anymore.

Upgrades:

• jet kit
• Moose handguards
• rear rack
• rear bag
• Renthal bars
• 4qts oil and 2 filters

Milage is 1,500.

Only real damage is some faded plastic from the sun.

I've looked up NADA and Kelly, and high dollar is about $3,100.

Ideas?

Alot will depend on the year of your bike.

 

At $3100 it would not be a fast seller either as these bikes in pretty good condition can be had for less.

 

Well,yes a year of make would help...

But between 3000-3500 seems reasonable for something that only a few years old. As for the extras on it....don't expect to get more just because of that. Most people will consider it free bonuses. You'll get more if ya removed the extras and sold them separately. Just my 2 cents. I might be out to lunch as well.

 

$2,500 would probably get you a quick sale. $3k might get you a sale, but would probably take a bit longer.

 

Just got my 2009 KLX250S for $2900.00 (700 miles / FMF exhaust / no jet kit installed / hand guards). I would have purchased it with or without the exhaust upgrade.

 

We had several KLX250 bikes hanging out on CL here for a while. I think about $3 to $3.5K. Then they all disappeared about the same time.

 

It has already been covered but add-ons don't add value to the bike at resale. If you want to try and recover that money you do it by removing them and selling them apart from the bike.

 

He said it was NOT a for sale add. At that price he won't get a sale...
