Looking for a Locking gas cap for an IMS tank
#13
I got my IMS tank from a rider on here today. I'm going to install it when it cools down enough to work in the garage.
Regarding the gas cap, I still want to get a locking one. I'm leaning toward the Acerbis locking cap. My only concern is the venting. ahnh666 was saying it only vents in. Would I have any problems with it not venting out and excessive pressure?

So I got my locking cap yesterday. It fits fine contrary to mixed reports of some not fitting. I'll monitor it closely over the next few days to see if there are any pressure issues.

Awesome can't wait for the review. Where did you find it?

That doesn't look bad at all. Might have to consider the combo since I DO want a locking cap. YOu now need another key on your chain right? So what mechanism prevents the cap from threading off? Certainly there is nothing biting into the filler kneck so it must be a slippery outer shell and a threaded inner shell?
I curse the very lousy fuel capacity.

The cap can be locked in which it just spins any direction freely or unlocked and it screws on and off like any traditional cap.
