My 331 kits are nikasil plated cylinders. A 34mm Mikuni pumper carb works well, but if you can spring for a 35mm Keihin pumper carb, that would be even better. As far as cams, the 101 cams from web cam works very well. I've also noticed that a good custom porting and polishing really wakes up the motor as well. Think about it......better carb= more air and fuel. BB kit increases the intake amount as well. Again, the cams increase the "breathing" as well. BUT if your ports are restriciting all of your hard work, then whats the point of spending all of that $$$.

Again, this is just my opinion. I've been building race motors for almost 20 years.

I have the BB 351 with the 34 pumper. I love this kit and the power increase is amazing even though I still have a bit of tuning to do. (tomorrows job) I don't know of many places where you can call customer support and the guy that made your product is who answers your call and fields all of your questions with a vast knowledge and will even shoot the sh*t for a bit! I will always look to Bill for any parts before I go anywhere else!

+1 on that. 351 kit woke my slow little bike up quite a bit. running stock carb and 300 exhaust and it really is a dream compared the stock engine. If you are looking for more power the ccs are the way to go. all others mods are really weak by comparison.

I agree, as they say, "there's no replacement for displacement"!

I got like 6 or 7k on mine, no probs except that my rear tire seems to wear a lot faster, and my front wheel seems to be a lot lighter in weight.
