lookin to buy after market rad shrouds

I recently broke some plastic too I had a fair amount of success with "welding" it back together with a pistol grip style soldering iron. It takes more of a hand than I have to do a real nice job of it but its pretty simple and effective.

I just got a pair of excellent Rad Guards for my '09 ... for not much more than what you will pay for the (piece of crap) plastic replacements. These have the added benefit of protecting from side hits/lay downs. So you get a rad guard and a rad brace in one, well designed package. Contact Brian Bennet at http://www.unabiker.com 574-626-3150. He does his own CNC machining and design work and might be able to cut a set for your '07. Tell him Mike Scardigno recommended him.
Cheers!

I won't even say what I just ordered a pair of shrouds for the ktm for. Ok, maybe I will, $36 for both left and right. That's total, not each. Kawasaki should be ashamed. Seriously, that's practically robbery. Plastics should be near disposable. Beat'em up, scuff'em up, replace'em, looks like new. Until next time.

its totally true.. thats roughly what a set of shrouds cost for my kx when i swapped it over to black, for now i soldered welded the plastic back together, with some wurth adehesive and stitches of an old oil jug cut into small pieces for something extra to bond to.
the $100 a side is a real shame, thanks for everyones help. oh and for clarification it is the green piece not the rad guard.

You guys with 2009's will eventually luck out when the aftermarket plastic companies finally jump on board and start selling them for normal prices. Us w/ 06/07's are cursed... $100 a piece??? Geez, it just doesn't make sense. I just purchased the plastic overflow rear resevoir bottle from kawasaki and it was only $15. I would have expected that to be $100.
For all you guys out there including myself that don't have radiator guards. The right radiator is over $600 to replace, yes $600 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The left one is around $400...
