Does the front disk fit the caliper without a relocating bracket or brake line change???
Since I have never seen the swap done in person, I was just wondering if it's a fast
changeover? Also is a shorter kickstand a good idea or mandatory? It's was just a few
questions I forgot to ask. The reason on the kickstand question is, I might swap back
in forth between wheel types.
Yes, the disc is stock size, makes for an easy switch, about half an hour. There are kits to go up to a 320mm if you think you need the extra stopping power, but then you will have to relocate the caliper everytime you swich wheels. A shorter kickstand isn't mandatory, but the bike is definitely more at risk for a tip over. Maybe you could mod the stop bracket to allow for more forward travel of the stand, increasing the lean angle. You will probably be happy with it just the way it is. Also, I have a brand new 15 tooth front sprocket for a KLX300 that I will ship with the wheels for free if it will work.

Shelby,
that is all good news!!!
Thanks for the extras too.[sm=happy046.gif]

I got my muzzy on today, and I like it. No parts from Kawi for almost a week, so I did what I could with jetting.
I left the stock main jet in and shimmed the stock needle 20 thousand. Two turns on the pilot jet and left the
stock snorkel on. when the Main jet (125) and needle/ klx 200 snorkel shows up I will go farther. I did open up the
crankcase vent to 3/8 (hot tool) and removed / blocked the pair valve. It really runs nice and will give me a good
baseline to go by when the other parts show up. I just not going to wing it on the top until I get the other stuff.
It's warms up better and I didn't see much change in idle from warm to cold. Not like it was.

Scott

I understand it a mild 250 . I grew up around good tuners and had lots of dyno time even 30+ years ago. If I want more power I would by a different/larger bike. The 128 main will be too large for where I am moving, so I am sticking with a 125 for now. The Muzzy performs well I doubt there is a difference between a big gun.

Maybe I could get my friend to open up the KLX for me?? Naw, I am happy.

I wonder why I have different jetting than most? Anyone? Mine is the 40 and 132 what's the advantage to my setup? The guy that did the work at the shop is also a big bore 4 stroke racer, maybe he looked at me and said to himself, "man we're gonna have to max this out to get his big but down the road" [&:] Oh well whatever the reasoning it is an awesome setup.

Deej, I'm guessing it's because he has your airbox completely removed so you are getting a pretty big gulp of air and need more fuel in the flow to equal out to the proper mixture. Most of us still have the airbox lid on, albeit with the higher flowing KDX200 snorkel, but that is still not going to give as much air flow as with no lid.
