Larry, what turn signals do you have on your machine. Are they factory '09 ones?

Yup! It's bent. If I were you I wouldn't touch it unless it was causing discomfort when I ride. The peg hanger is made from forged alloy and is very likely to break if you try to bend it back.

Turn signals - can't remember the brand.. Someone on here linked them - do a search for turn signals.. Much cleaner than stock!

Had to put an extension on the fronts as to not hack up the headlight piece.

WestOz - I ended up bending it back with no probs. I also noticed it's bolted on so I may just get a spare in case it ever does go.

Sounds like a good idea. No fun riding home with 1 peg, plus the potential of a "get off" when it goes.

AHH, thanks. Without looking them up they look like EMGO's. I like them and would buy them up in a second except they aren't DOT approved. And here in PA they have to be DOT approved. Even though they are the same wattage and voltage as DOT's they aren't legal. That's so dumb.

Appreciate the reply, thanks.

Who says they have to be approved? Do you have inspections or something?

No inspection here in "The Wild West."

Neah, just went in the DMV with the title, registered it, and got a plate!

Even took it to the DMV road test and they never even gave the bike a look over.

Those look like some BikeMaster Universal Oval turn signals. BikeMaster has a bunch of different shapes and sizes and offers clear lens/amber bulb, amber lens/clear bulb in many of the configurations.

I put the shorter square ones on my bike. I like how tight it looks in the back, the old stockers were like two big amber ***** on a flagpole.

For the rears, I picked up some needle connectors from Radio Shack so I could just extend the wiring a bit, stuff it back in the factory loom and location and plug right in to the factory harness.

On the fronts, I wish I'd bought the longer stalk ones, but I wound up following another member's solution here and building two adapter plates out of metal. Basically a tab with two holes. One hole is drilled to accept the top headlight mount screw, the other holds the turn signal. I wasn't sure it would be solid, but it certainly is when tightend up.

I can take pics if it would be helpful...I can add them to the other thread.
