My wife and I did 135 miles today. Snohomish to Granite Falls via Machias Road, then the Mountain Loop Highway almost to Darrington, with a few diversions down some forest roads. Roughly 50 miles of the 135 was on dirt/gravel.

Had a blast, but my butt is sore. I need a better seat!

Bikes are loaded on the trailer now, we are hauling them up to Sumas to go riding with my son tomorrow...

Yeah, it's on my list of to-do mods!

 

Coming up: 250 miles on Wednesday and about 190 on Thursday.

 

That's a lot of miles in 2 days!

I bought a windshield. Should help. Still you're right. I was going to ride the KLR but the engine is temporarily out of commission so the KLX is being pressed into tour duty. I think it will go fine.

 

I am right there with you. 600 on my ninja 500 Tuesday-Wednesday.

 

I did a 475km ride on my KLX, one way... last year. 950km trip total. Stayed the night, and rode home in the morning.

Did the same ride this weekend but on my DRZ400SM.

Only took 5 hours to get home this time on the DRZ... took 6.5 hours each way on the KLX... Hah.

 

I did a 140 mile solo ride last weekend on my KLX. I was fine, until the last 20 miles of slab on the way home. That's when I started feeling like a Seat Concepts seat was in my future. :-) Now, if I can just get my budget to cooperate...
