Sooo, where can we purchase the tank from?? I have credit card in hand and am ready to blow some more money on this bike

 

HERE is a good start, but I will see my local parts guy first.

 

The Acerbis distributor on the East coast was hoping to get another 12 tanks into the US this month. The distribution pipeline is bone dry but some suppliers may have an old one in stock (like the one Marty found). If you do find one, snag it quick as they are rare as hens teeth.

Acerbis is willing to consider doing a run of this tank in black color if there was sufficient demand (but with a 6 month lead time) so I recommend anyone that is interested contact them and let them know.

 

Oh, so its not like I can go and buy the tank right now huh, too rare to get it[:'(]. With all these tanks you do need a new petcock right, the klx 300 petcock, or will the klx 250s petcock work fine. Isn't the petcock pretty expensive?

 

So if one was to order this 3.7 tank, what year would you order? Maybe it's a dumb question. Maybe the tank hasn't changed in years, i dunno. Any other colors? Now if I get that KLX off of Westcan - ya... he's once again selling it !! - i'll have to order this tank pronto, then it will eliminate all my hesitation about buying the KLX250.

 

Ok... must be late. I see that it fits 1997 - 2006. Duh.

 

This I could go for.....is there an exact Acerbis stock number you could post? I would be most appreciative.

 

the reason i ask for a specific part number from Acerbis is because when i go to their site and enter the year/model the pic that comes up has a tank with one hole in each 'wing' not two as kawasakispeeds has ????
