a little hot?

Richer running bikes spew more unburnt fuel into the pipe..... the emissions system is designed to burn those pollutants up in the pipe instead of emitting them. You may have just found your cause.
I rode 108 miles in one afternoon jaunt on my KLX near Chelan in Eastern WA with 90 degree temps. I even had a stand off with a freaking rattlesnake. I did not get a hot leg from the exhaust but I did get sunburned on my calves and arms. Even though the sun doesn't feel hot it will burn your skin.

it's awesome how people come out to help a cause I don't plan to mess with the emissions til I get a new exhaust but I plan on getting rid of the excess items on the bike. with only a bit over 400 miles the pipe is a nice golden brown color so she gets roasty toasty again thanks every one for the imput on my question I think this forum will be a fun informational resource
