The second spring clip is a spare (for when you drop the first one, and can't find it).
Did you get the 2009 klx250s kit? Some are writing the 300 kit is better. I bought the 2009 klx kit.
I spent three hours putting the kit in my bike, and have no desire to tear it down again during riding season. How long is it taking you to get in and out?

It took me about 2 hours to take the carb out,change jets,drill the slide lift hole and put it back I got the Kit For the KLX300.. I sort of figured out that the 2nd clip is a spare one..But when WestOzKlx said "You may need second clip from the top of the needle. Lean it out a tad in the midrange." I got confused and thought that I need to use both clips at once.. But now I figured out that the Second Clip he's reffering to is the 2nd Slot Yup thats what I'm going to do.. Maybe next week cuz I'm enjoying riding my bike these days and its too rich so its not doing any harm
Then, I'll let you guys know if I have any problems or if I succeed..

Just one last thing.
You can change out the needle by removing the seat, rad' shrouds and tank only. No need to remove the carb'. You can take the top off while the carb' is on the bike, remove the slide, change the needle, and refit it all in reverse order.

Yup! I read that on another post too :-) .. Got any tips to adjust the fuel screw with the carb de ice inlet just beneath it? Lol.. Doesnt look like even an adjustable fuel screw will fit there..

Probably means nothing...
But my stock bike with the Hmf pipe runs I guess lean under normal driving I hear.....But when I open her up and run good speeds and stop my eyes water from running rich.....
My guess not enough air mix at 7-9k rpmz with the bikes aero package..So the new jet kit gives ya low and mids and sorts floods at 7-9k Rpmz jsut like stock......
I was thinking about making some side cowls on the air box for a like forced air off the inside of the body panels..And keeping the lid and snorkle....

If you stock bike runs a #118 main jet. (OE in the USA)
And you help it breath better, intake or exhaust.
It will never run rich, ever. It will run leaner.
You run the risk of over-leaning you engine and causing it damage.
Keep the stock airbox set up and it should be fine.
If you introduce more air to the engine, with the free flowing exhaust you,ve fitted and don't add more fuel (larger jets, altered fuel/air mixture) you may cause the engine to run overly hot thus prematurely shortening the life of your engine.
It's easy really. More air requires more fuel, and vice versa.
Balance.
