Ok, so I brought the bike home last night and decided to take it out on some service and logging roads tonight. Let me just say I had a ton more fun on this type riding with the KLX than I ever did with the KLR. The KLR is just a heavy bike. Did I mention that I had a freakin blast! Im lucky to have lots of good riding within a few miles of the house.

Where I'm going.......btw let me go on record and say the AFX39 helmet is pretty great for the price.

Once I get the wolf man tank bag mounted I'll be good for rides around here! I can already tell I'm gonna want some wider foot pegs (I stand on the pegs a lot) and raise and change out the bars. When I change the bars, I'll put on a flip mirror. The oem ones kept hanging up on the brush.

 

I got out and rode this evening also, but my gravels roads don't look anything like you have down there. I will have to come down sometime so you can show me these little secrets roads you know about. Are they Ill eagle or legit?

PS...Good to know about the AFX, the brown truck guy delivered mine today!
