That depends upon the jacket liner, since they range from 90W (Gerbings or similar) to about 60-70W for the Aero Stitch Kanetsu, Warm-n-Safe Calientito and the likes. I think the Tour Master Synergy Jacket is also in the low consumption group and has great reviews/ reasonable price.

Anyway, the KLX will handle a low consumption Jacket along with heated grips, so long as you're not running the Jacket on high setting all of the time. If you used somthing like the synergy heated vest, you would have even less consumption. I've haven't heard of anybody needing the high setting with either the Synergy jacket or vest...they really put-out some serious heat. EXO2 Strorm Rider vest also puts out excellent heat with fairily low current draw but is a bit more pricey than the Tourmaster gear...like twice the price.

The dual hid BD weighs 10.5 lbs. The stock light about 1 lbs if that, so about a 9.5 gain. I wanna see when I poop myself. There are no tight woods nearby only wide open desert & dunes.

The fork guards have that Effex carbon fibre sheet sticker stuff on them. Cut em out of a 11 x 18 sheet. The wife didn't like the I robot white look to them.
I see. Hey, how about 2x 35W HID bulbs in those fixtures? You would have at least twice the light output of the 55W halogens with slightly more power consumption than the stock 55/60W single bulb I know, I know..pricey, but wouldn't that be awesome? Mounting both balasts somewhere might be a small challenge.

I added 2 small oval H3 12v 55w lights to my 2006 KLX and it blew the 10 amp fuse with high beams on. I put in a 30 amp fuse and it started melting the fuse box after awhile.

Do you have a link as to those 35w hid conversions. I slapped these on b/c they were sitting around, no $ involved. Thanks
