License plate bolt lights

RE: License plate bolt lights
well if finger mullet hasn't needed a license plate light in FL in a year and a half, then i won't worry too much about it. welcome back from costa rica mullet. funny enough, today a deputy stops me after i fooled around in an un-posted field for a few minutes, and actually escorted me to another "riding area" on the edge of his jurisdiction. it ended up sucking as far as the trail goes, just funny that he winked and told me he'd show me a better spot that belongs to the next county up. he ran my license and that was it, wasn't concerned at all about what was on or off the bike. great day out for me

I wonder if you put a couple washers behind the lights (so they stick out farther) if it would'ntspread the light out more on the plate.I like this idea and might give it a try.
