Your right & wrong.

I did searching, yes you are right the KLX 300 & 250S cannot be mated--the 250S uses 8mm bolts, the 300R uses 6mm.

However your worng in you can not include the 95-06 KDX 200/220 & KLX 650C.

The 95-06 KDX 200/220, KLX 650C& 250S have the exact same front rotor mount bolt.

The 95-06 KDX 200/220 & KLX 650C have the exact same hub.

Thus if I can find a rotor for the above bikes it should fit the 250S (& I can verifywithmy 95-06 KDX rotor, see if it fits the 250S hub).

The KLX 300 rotor bolt is the same as PRE 95 KDX. The KLX 300 & KLX 250R front rotor bolt is different than the 250S & late model KDX.

The KLX 300 rotor is the same as most KXs & different than the KDX.

The 95-06 KDX, KLX 250S, KX up to 96, KLX 650, KLX 250R & KLX 300 all have the same exact caliper.

EBC never said it fits the 250S, just DK which has been wrong before. I need to find out how that guy got that rotor on that 250S.

even though the klx300 rotor uses a 6mm bolt, as long as the mounting holes centers are the same I don't see it as a big deal enlarging the holes a countersinking more. It would be nice if someone could verify the center spacing.

just be aware that the KDX/KLX300 rotors will NOT bolt onto your KLX250S hub. The D-tracker may have a different hub than the KLX300/KDX/KX though.
You are correct in saying the KLX300 rotor will not fit, but somehow you have rolled that together with a KDX rotor, which is not the same..

The KDX200/220 rotorfits the KLX250S/D-Tracker hub perfectly. The Kawasaki PN is 41080-1377 The corresponding years of KDX200 are 1995-2006. KDX220 model years are 97-2005.

D-tracker and KLX250S share the same hub and front disk PN.

I have personally seen successful installs. There are no issues with the holes lining-up.

Nice.

I think I decided on on the EBC supermoto kit--the full 320 mm not the smaller one I was originally thinking, but need to know which model bike to order it for. It is the same rotor that SM KLX on ebay right now has. Is your Braking rotor listed for the D-Tracker or some other model bike?

I have a braided line & while it is am improvement does not turn iron to gold.
It is for the KLX250S/D-tracker. All I had to do is ask the dealer which bike it was for because it had been hanging on his wall for almost a year. Checking what's available stateside is depressing sometimes, but the EBC rotor looks pretty sharp. Thanks for the impression of the braided line. I was unable to gauge how much of a difference my braidedline made since I changed both disk and line at the same time.

Not sure if these PN will translate to what's available in the states, but here goes.

BRAKING front rotor kit, complete with backet and pads (KLX250S/D-TRACKER/KDX220)
STF-K05

BRAKING Front and rear kit. (KLX250S/D-TRACKER)
STK-S07

yes, the D-tracker and KLXS share the same rotor, that's easy to see since they're identical visually. The KDX rotors may or may not fit, but they are not the same visually. They look identical to the KLX300 and the KX series. I wouldn't bet the farm that they'll fit. Also, I never said anytime that there were issues with how the mounting holes lined up. They line up fine. If you re-read my post you'll see that I said the mounting holes are different sizes and thus you cannot interchange these rotors. Now I guess I was assuming the KDX rotors were the same as the KLX300'ssince they look the same but I would not believe that they fit until I tried it with my own two hands. I've held the two in my hands and they are entirely different rotors. I'm not saying the KDX rotor won't fit, but I would lean more towards doubtful until I saw it bolt into that hub with the larger mounting holes the KLX250S has. You see I need to see solid proof of something before I believe it to be fact. But since KLX'er did his homework more thoroughly than you and found out that the bolts are the same size for the KDX and KLX250S, it would appear that they will bolt on. But as I said, I won't believe it until I see it.

larger mounting holes
meaning larger shouldered bolts with the same thread pitch? As far as fitting as you mentioned above?

Just an addition to what I wrote earlier. Itook that part number directly off of a KDX rotor installed on a KLX250. The PN crossed to themodel years of KDX that I listed.
