Getting tired of the front brake..or lack there of.

Lets see your front rotor kits if you have them on stock 250S hubs. What size rotor, price, & what is the rotor "officially" listed for model wise.

i think as far as better braking "kits" like tremor has mentioned the kx250 caliper and such bolts right up and has lots more stopping power, i am gonna get the steel braided lines her soon.

Sometimes it seems like my bike has Bri....I mean no brakes. I've turned the plunger bolt in farther so there is less travel before hitting the plunger on the resevoir but just the same, it either pulls most of the way to the grip or every now and then it will have good pressure and have a good feel to it. I've got 7000 miles on it and the pads appear to still be in spec per the service manual, ~3mm of pad left.

As far as the KX and KDX parts go, the KDX220/200rotor is cast iron (vs our steel) which makes a big difference in stopping power...it's a direct bolt-on to our hub. The KX master cylinder compliments this set-up by affording WAY better control of the braking. It also requires much lesseffort than ours and has ashort lever that you can easily operate using one or twofingers..Fits nicely underhand guards as well.No need to change the stock caliper as there is no gain from that.

I plan on changing to the KX master cylinder this winter..along with many other mod's.Being the motard freak that I am, I opted for a 320mm wave rotor witha smallerwavein the rear. At present, I am experiencing about a 30% increase in stopping power and it's much smoother. I'm fully expecting another very noticeable improvemnt when I install the KX master cylinder.

Nice.

I think I decided on on the EBC supermoto kit--the full 320 mm not the smaller one I was originally thinking, but need to know which model bike to order it for. It is the same rotor that SM KLX on ebay right now has. Is your Braking rotor listed for the D-Tracker or some other model bike?

I have a braided line & while it is am improvement does not turn iron to gold.

Dennis Kirk lists EBC brake rotors as fitting all the below. Doesn't mean DK can't be wrong, but I have heard some say it will work, some say it wont. Ill know for sure when I try to bolt up my KDX rotor I guess. Is it possible the seller was not correct on which model & or year of the brake rotor he sold you was from?

Guys, those wave rotors look like the deal! I installed Bill Blue's stainless steel lines front and rear and it made a huge difference on the front. It took a bit to get it bled properly, but once I did, it's all the brake I need for the dirt. Pavement might dictate a little more though.

My rear brake is ok, but just. It's better with the SS line, but I would like a little more power and feel.
Santa, maybe? Any suggestions as to what setup would be a good conversion?
