Ive had my 2013 250s KLX for about 1.5 yrs. I'd post a cool pic but don't see how to do that easily. great site and really enjoying the KLX info etc. have raced Hare scrambles (c/b class rider) and have about 35yrs riding experience on street and dirt. I use to race kdx and also a gasgas 200 which was a thoroubred racing machine. That said I " surprisingly love my KLX. I seriously had my reservations but upon getting out and giving her the first real flogging off road, after driving 70 miles asphalt on it to get there I was a new fan. No bike can do it all. But, the KLX will get you there on the road at 55-70 mph for however long your a@$ can take it. Then, fold down the mirrors and she's a extremely willing trail/woods machine. No it will never be a bad *** race capable Hare scramble racing bike, not even close. But still a very capable trail machine that will climb some bad a@$ hills..
And put a smile on my face
Fat bars
Fmf exhaust
Heated grips
Rear luggage rack
alum skid plate
Ims pegs
Stock gearing now
Had taller on it but went back to stock
Thinking of going about 3 teeth or so more on the rear for lower gearing.
And really like the looks of the 351 kit, but haven't yet

Yes I do and I am very happy with it. I rode the bike for about a year
before the upgrade. This lousy winter has kept me indoors and time
to spare led to the number plate paint.

I like it just fine. I've gotten close to wildlife, (deer, bear, bobcat's, etc.)
with it being quieter than my riding partners nosier one. I think the
acceleration is plenty sufficient.

I tried the full exhaust and kdx snorkel, too loud for city riding so my next plan is 351 and leave the stock exhaust on. I just want a little more get up for certain areas without the noise of the pipe.

From yesterday. This is one tough little bike. Lost Trails (PA) was rocky, hilly and most of all MUDDY! The KLX handled it. Might have to wash it.
