Leo Vince exhaust for klx250sf?
#12
Just finished installing the Leo Vince Exhaust. Its sweet! Pics to follow when I have some more time.
There is one reason and one reason alone I would recommend this exhaust over other options: Its NOT a glass pack. Never have to repack it. Just bolt it on and go.
Fitment is perfect. I don't anticipate any issues with my turn signals or airbox.
I went for a 30 mile test ride and its not much louder than stock unless you crack the throttle full open and even then its still not that loud. I can't even hear it on the freeway. (I'm using a Arai XD-3 Helmet) I did swap the silencer out with the louder tip and it was pretty loud. I couldn't hear my music in my headphones loud. So Silent tip went back in immediately.
Ahh yes everyone wants to know about power: Well it has a bit more pull in lower revs and I actually feel like I have some power to work with on the freeway. This is without re-jetting. I'll do that after work tomorrow. The biggest difference is backing off the throttle is super smooth as before it was like I was a bobble head if I let off the throttle.
So in short if you are thinking about getting a slip-on but don't want something loud and some better performance I couldn't recommend this exhaust more.
Cheers

Congratulations on your purchase.
To increase the noise can install shorter wand attachment that should come in the kit. Terminal is more racing. With the terminal racing bike some strength gains at low rpm, but may not be compensated by the excess noise. This option relies heavily on each user and the place where flow.
Also, if you decide to remove the silencer have much, but great care with 3 allen screws removal: stainless steel with aluminum is very delicate and easy to undo the screw. Wait until you have the cold pipe and go slowly.

So I have pictures! Thats the good news... Bad news is my memory card died in the process so no video....
I really like this exhaust. If anything it could be a touch louder... So its exactly what I wanted. Not going to annoy my neighbors at 6 am when I leave for work. It has given me some nice gains in power. Next up is my Edge 2 tail kit I just have to replace the LEDS with real ones first.

It has the sensor fitting and a plug if you need it aka a bolt. As I have an 09 I put the bolt in. Should be plug and play.
If you look closely at pic DSC 7633 on the pipe you should see the fitting. You might need to click on the pic and view it on the flickr site. Also check http://www.leovince.com/files/F29721/IM-3545-GB.pdf
